Building community connections

Community Access and Participation

Community access is the hardest support type to administer and the easiest to under-claim. A group outing is one activity, several participants, several funding lines and one worker — and most providers reconcile that by hand, days later. WhizPro treats the activity as the record, and lets the claim fall out of it.

What changes

  • Group supports claimed at the right ratio, first time
  • Progress against goals evidenced, not asserted
  • No end-of-month reconstruction of who went where

What WhizPro handles

Group activities that bill correctly

Schedule one activity with a roster of participants and the staff supporting them. Ratios are part of the booking, so the price of each participant’s share is worked out at the point the activity is built rather than argued about afterwards.

  • One activity, many participants, one roster entry
  • Support ratios recorded per activity, not assumed
  • Each participant billed their own share against their own plan
  • Capacity limits so an outing is never over-subscribed

Goals the outing is actually for

Community participation is funded because it moves a participant towards a goal. Those goals live on the participant’s file, and progress notes are written against them from the field while the shift is still fresh.

  • Care plan and goals on the participant record
  • Progress notes written from the WhizPro Express app
  • Incidents reported on the spot and escalated
  • A history a plan reviewer can actually read

Transport and the things that get forgotten

Kilometres, activity costs and the vehicle used are captured with the shift, not remembered at the end of the month.

  • Vehicle register with service and registration expiry
  • Travel and activity costs recorded against the shift
  • Receipts attached to the participant’s file

Rostering, participant records, claiming, compliance and finance run on the same record underneath this.
